(While the below reflects normal duties and responsibilities, the Directors frequently work across the roles and take on duties outside of their Operational roles as required to support the ministry.)

Board of Director Role: Chairperson; Treasurer

Current Position-Holder: Emily Baum
Overall Responsibilities:
Manages the overall administration of the ministry.
Manages large-scale Second Harvest Outreach events (e.g. Stamp Out Hunger)
Manages food grants for the ministry.
Manages the budget for the ministry.
As Chairperson and Treasurer of the Board:
Prepares for and facilitates the Board of Director meetings.
Serves as the representative to the church Administrative Board.
Operational Role: Operations Director
Board of Director Role: Vice-Chairperson
Member of Church of the Hill: Required
Current Position-Holder: Julie Peterson
Overall Responsibilities:
Manages the procurement and distribution of food and other supplies.
Manages all food inventory, including community food donations (e.g. churches).
Manages the annual calendar of events and distributions.
Responsible for all compliance activities related to Second Harvest Partner Agency agreement.
Manages the annual Second Harvest inspection.
Manages Second Harvest training requirements for volunteers in collaboration with Volunteer Director.
Collects information on volunteer hours for Second Harvest
Prepares and submits monthly reports to Second Harvest and the Church of the Hill
Manages website in collaboration with the Communications Director.
Operational Role: Volunteer Director
Board of Director Role: Member
Member of Church of the Hill: Not Required
Current Position-Holder: Jessie Durgin
Overall Responsibilities:
Manages the recruitment, training, and scheduling of volunteers for both weekly onsite work as well as events (e.g. Stamp Out Hunger)
Responsible for annual volunteer appreciation activities.
Manages the onsite schedule for the Directors.
Operational Role: Communication Director
Board of Director Role: Member
Member of Church of the Hill: Not Required
Current Position-Holder: Meredith Huie
Overall Responsibilities:
Manages local community outreach events (outside of larger Second Harvest events) and local food drives.
Manages local vendor relationships outside of Second Harvest for food and other items for clients (e.g. Pepperidge Farm for bread, Belfast Logistics for supplies)
Manages social media accounts.
Responds to email communications and messages received through the group email.
Schedules food distribution outside of normal working hours, per request by clients to meet specific needs.
Additional roles include:
A representative of the Church of the Hill Board of Trustees, as selected by the Board of Trustees
A member of the pastoral staff of the Church of the Hill
A representative from the Staff Parish Relations Committee
One volunteer representative (a member or non-member of the Church of the Hill)
One At-Large Member (a member of the Church of the Hill)
